The Delphi E1 Diesel Electronic Unit Injector (EUI) is an integrated fuel injection device that contains a high pressure pump and injector for use in heavy duty diesel engines.  It is driven by the engine's overhead camshaft, with one EUI per cylinder.  Delphi’s E1 EUI is lightweight and compact for improved efficiency.  It features a single valve design, which provides high speed operation and is capable of electronic pilot injection for reduced noise.  The injector can be electronically trimmed to minimize cylinder-to-cylinder variation.

The Delphi E1 EUI is part of Delphi's extensive range of high quality EUI products, which are all designed to fit the same injector pocket.  This allows manufacturers the freedom to meet a variety of emissions standards with the same cylinder head design.
