Country Information

Delphi first opened a manufacturing facility in the Czech Republic in 1996, only three years after the nation's formation. Our facilities in the Czech Republic are ideally situated for serving Delphi's regional customers and have the conveniences and tools necessary to safely, efficiently, and consistently produce high-quality products.

Delphi Presence

Delphi Czech Republic, located in Česká Lípa, Northern Bohemia, was founded in 1993 to provide close services to customers. The facility specializes in electrical/electronic architecture, assembly, and shipment, and has experienced continual growth. Delphi Czech Republic supplies several European vehicle manufacturers, including BMW and Audi. In 2005 Delphi opened a new laboratory focused on harness prototype development, preparation, and testing of future manufacturing concepts and technologies.

Delphi Czech Republic has the ability to manage the complexity and uniqueness of each wiring harness that is produced. This is enabled by using advanced production technologies, such as automatic cutting, ultrasonic welding or polyurethan foaming—all controlled by highly skilled people.

Delphi Czech Republic practices innovative manufacturing systems that build on kaizen and other principles. Standards are validated periodically not only by customers, but also by the ISO/TS 16 949:2002 quality standard and by an environmental management system (ISO 14001:2005).

Besides several customer and Delphi awards and recognitions, Delphi Czech Republic won the "Employer of the Region" prize in 2005 and 2007 from the Czech Republic government. The "Employer of the Region" program is designed to recognize Czech companies that contribute to personnel management to increase employment in the region.
